Potential customer question. Disable wireless?

It probably a yes but need to clarify something before changing to cuckoo broadband. Does the router allow the wireless to be disabled (via box and/or log in - happy either way)? I’m setting up the house to be ethernet only so would be good to know.

Any help appreciated.

Hiya @docsavage & Welcome To The Cuckoo Community !!! :egg:

As you have guessed it is Indeed possible to disable both the 2.4Ghz & 5Ghz
wireless channels in both ways actually.

One is by the hidden button on the top of the router on the far right which
takes 5-7 secs of holding down to disable its broadcast or you can use its
Web Login Interface if your a bit of an advanced brave user you can disable
it in there as well as customising passwords and wifi names which can also
be done through your cuckoo account once setup.

Just bare in mind that there is i believe only 3 of the 4 Ethernet ports available
to use on the router as the others are reserved for future use so you may need
to expand out via an ethernet switch setup from one of the 3 working ports.

The router does support Modem Only Mode as well if you have your own
Access Point Products that you want to use.

I could have Just said YES !!! but im not that kind of person :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Hope This Helps !!!

Hi @PhantomR1982

Thanks for the quick response!

All sounds good so will will probably be on cuckoo soon enough. Just need to check contract details with current provider. Liking the sound of cuckoo. Plus seen good things about Talk talk business which they piggy backing on.

Thanks again. All the best.
